April 14th
None of the seeds have germinated. The first few days and evenings after planting were warm-ish but then it turned a bit cool. I am wondering if they need more warmth. I have put them in the attic on a heat mat.
April 5th
The plant from November last year did bolt and die off fairly quickly and we didn’t get to harvest much of the plant. I have planted some more seeds today and will see how this batch goes. I have heard that it is a good idea to pick the leaves quit quickly, when the plant is still really small, which will help to stop it from bolting.

November 30th
I think the plant may be bolting. It has shot up really high and formed a flower head. There is still some useable dill fronds on the stalk and we don’t use too much of it so I will let it do its thing this year. Out of all the herbs in the spot the thyme is the only one that seems to be really happy and so maybe the position isn’t the best for them?
October 6th
I have now planted the first seedling in its final pot. It is reasonably well established at about 10cm high with a number of true leaves.
I will keep the second seedling in the tray for now and decide if I plant it out later.
September 16th
The second seed has germinated.
September 8th
One of the seedlings has germinated.
August 25th
I have planted 2 seeds in a seedling tray and left them outside.
